At Butter Shears, your happiness is our top priority. We stand behind the quality of our products and services, and we want you to feel completely confident shopping and sharpening with us. If something isn't right, we'll make it right.
30-Day Happiness Guarantee: Shear Purchases
We offer a full 30-day happiness guarantee on all shear purchases. If you are not completely satisfied with your new shears for any reason within 30 days of receiving them, you may return them for a refund.
To qualify:
- Shears must be returned within 30 days of delivery.
- All original components (cases, accessories, etc.) should be included when possible.
How it works:
- Reach out to us to start your return and we'll send you a prepaid shipping label.
- Your refund covers the purchase price plus applicable sales tax, credited to your original payment method.
- A shipping and handling charge of $14 plus 5% of the purchase price per shear will be deducted from your refund, unless the reason for the return is our error.
- Received a damaged or defective shear? Contact us right away and we'll make it right. If the error is ours, your refund is never reduced.
Please allow up to 2 weeks for us to process your return and issue your credit.
Happiness Guarantee: Sharpening Services (7-Day Guarantee)
We want you to feel confident putting your tools in our hands. If you aren't satisfied with your sharpening, we will do everything we can to make it right.
Step 1: Complimentary Re-Sharpening. If your shears don't feel right within 7 days of your sharpening, contact us and we will examine your shears and provide a free re-sharpening to correct the issue.
Step 2: Refund if Standards Aren't Met. If, after examining your shears, we determine they were not sharpened to Butter Shears' quality standards, we will issue a full refund for the sharpening service.

Our team will get back to you within 1 to 2 business days with next steps.
Exclusions & Notes
- Damage caused by misuse, improper maintenance, or non-Butter Shears sharpening is not eligible for a sharpening refund.
